Hotel loyalty programs typically reward regular customers with upgrades and free nights. Now the new iPrefer program from the Preferred Hotel Group adds a range of hotel amenities and services into the mix, including spa treatments, cocktails and meals.
Members accumulate one point per dollar spent at a participating hotel – currently more than 450 of the group's 659 independent hotels, including Montage Laguna Beach in Southern California, the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and the K Club in Ireland.
Guests must spend $2,500 in the first year of membership to earn their first $50 gift certificate eligible for use at any participating hotel.
Occasional travelers unlikely to rack up $2,500 in hotel bills over a year can benefit from joining the program. All members receive complimentary Internet access and early check-in and late check-out privileges when available.
