Much has been made of the light and space artist James Turrell's hat-trick retrospective: three simultaneous major museum shows, including one now at the Guggenheim for which he's created the largest-ever temporary installation in the museum's history.
The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas may be a less artistically auspicious venue than the Guggenheim rotunda, but they have also come under Turrell's summertime spell.
As part of a new installation, the monorail station connecting the Daniel Libeskind-designed shopping center to the Las Vegas Strip now glows in fluorescent colors that alternate in tune with arriving and departing trains.
